What Is 4K?

4 times the resolution of 1080p.

Technically, 4K indicates a display size of 4096 x 2160 pixels, an aspect ratio of 1.9:1.

4K is usually UHD or 2160p used in the industry.

Television companies and YouTube were the first to embark alongside UHD, and it appears

likely to be the main choice for the future.
In May, the 4K UHD Blu-ray standard’s final revision was approved.
The new 4K UHD Blu-ray players are not available yet. Hopefully, they will be on the shelves right around the holidays, these should be backward compatible with the optical media you already own, and have up-scaling support for 1080p content.
Streaming content in 4K UHD is also available. Netflix and Amazon Prime already have a few offerings, and YouTube supports 4K UHD streaming for some video.
4K UHD video is considered the next big push, but you will have to upgrade your televisions. You will have to upgrade more than one component of your system in order to ensure that you can watch 4K UHD-grade video at the maximum quality.
